I use that for my Ranger. Can throw in anything you like in the last two slots, works fine just like that tho anyway.

i just did a run and i got like only 60feathers.. do u salvage the feathery crests to get that much feathers?

I think they farm in hm - thats the only way i know to get extra feathers and extra crests ( salvage crests/scalps for feathers )

Yes, salvage the crests, 3-4 feathers per crest, save yourself some cash and simply use a salavage kit, NOT a expert Salavage Kit.

@ Ducky and gw_poster - The build for the other place and it's location are on the Rangers beacon site, the old one for sure, dunno if Being has set it up on the new on yet or not. HINT: It's R/W and I use a sword (build thanks to Me, Tristan and Being)

Just look where there are a lot of birds that drop feathers...

Nahpui Quarter Mission is famous for it's feather and iron drops.

Old school but still lots of birds is the North Kryta province farm

There is nothing here to be secret about guys. Lot of people farm feathers.

Don't know if it is secrecy or if some people would like the players to try to find better places as opposed to just coming onto a forum and getting everything spoon feed to them.

Heh, here's what I roll in that spot:

E/Rt or Rt/E

[Resilient Weapon][Resilient Was Xiko][Glyph of Lesser Energy][Double Dragon][Inferno][Flame Djinn's Haste][Wielder's Boon][Fire Attunement]

Fire Magic - 12
Restoration Magic - 12
Energy Storage/Spawning Power/whatever - 3

Max armour, any runes/insignia (preferably minors, not a big issue). No special weapon sets required.

Maintain Fire Attunement. Run into Aggro with a single mob, activate the Resilient skills just as mob enters melee range. Follow with [Glyph of Lesser Energy] -> [Double Dragon] -> [Inferno] -> [Flame Djinn's Haste]. Use Wielder's Boon after, as you'll likely be at ~30%-40% or so health. Everything falls over in less than 3 seconds.

The build plays on the fact that the birds cause a lot of conditions and hexes, and they're all melee. You have a constant +10 regen and +24 AL during combat, and the AI moves the targets into your attack range for you.

zomg Double Dragon lulz indeed. Good or bad build, whatevs, it's a cheap + ez farming build.

Seriously, this is a WHOLE lot cheaper and easier to put together than OP's build. No need for PvE skills. No need for expensive runes/insignia, or any for that matter. You don't even need a weapon set equipped. There's very little risk of dying if timed correctly, and there's only one enchantment you need to keep an eye on, and even then, Fire Attunement isn't absolutely necessary to keep the energy flowing. The only downside is the 30 second recharge on GoLE; runs take around 15-20 mins out in the bluffs + time in town sorting through drops.

Yeah, you can expect ~60, up to maybe 100 feathers from a run, as well as whatever runes and other crafting mats drop. I've had a couple of Minor and Major Vigors come my way, and Minors of Soul Reaping/Strength/Energy Storage/etc etc can result in a few more k on top of that. You're looking at maybe 2k-3k, up to 5k per run if you're lucky, and depending on the market ofc.

I farm in normal mode, have runs that are ~10 minutes, get ~30 feathers and 10-20 crests on average. Crests salvage into 3-4 feathers, so that's 30-80 extra feathers a run. That's a whole bunch of feathers an hour.

It's a pain in the ass to run in Hard mode, with the necros having [[Wail of Doom] and [[Rigor Mortis] so It's hard to do damage/heal, and you can't just block them. You'd need some kind of Spell immunity, but with Spell breaker having a 45 second recharge, you'd have to use SF (which would take a bit, but since they have no healing it would work) or Obflesh

The only advantage to HM is more golds, but they're mostly crappy skins and are uninscribable.

Still, your best bet for a good feather/time ratio would be NM.

EDIT; btw...Am I the only one who gets a ton of Major Absorptions from this run? It seems like 2/3 of my purple armors are major absorptions.

just farm nahpui quarter with a 330 rit and get feathers and celestial items. some of the celestials are still pretty highly valued.

Does anyone have any statistics on how many feathers (approximately) you get per hour? Is it more worthwhile then Tengus outside LA?

Running R/E I get a stack and hour on Noob Island. 20 min runs at ~100 per run, add in merch/salavage time between runs, and yeah, 250 an hour.

I've no idea the speed of runs for other builds.

R/W I get a little less per hour (~200) but I get Iron/Bone there too as well as more profitable merch items. Though Noob island hands out tons of Runes and Dye.

<3 the E/Rt build, finally double dragon has a use XD. Takes out these bad boys in 2 seconds easy. Very easy to get a stack an hour using the ele build.

15 minutes and like 100-150 feathers for one run. as well you cat get bone, iron and cloth and lots of insignias , runes (minor and major common ) and some golds

This is what I use, just the 105HP Monk:

A full run takes about 15-20 minutes (mostly about 17min) and gets you 100-150 feathers a run, so in little more then a hour 400-600 feathers
